Airman training at NAS Jacksonville, is
intended to educate and train NSCC (Naval Sea Cadet Corps) cadets in all phases of Aviation maintanance on Helo's, P-3 "Orions"
and the S-3 "Viking".
Cadets and Instructors, work along side
with US Navy Personnel in learning and assisting in teardowns, repairs and rebuilding of various powerplants (engines) propellers,
sheetmetal and avionics on various military aircrafts that reside on base at Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

Basic Airman
training includes introduction to naval aviation, theory of flight, aircraft nomenclature, power plants, electricity/electronics,
survival equipment, safety, and fire fighting.
Possibilities may arise to offer familiarization flights and practical training depending on
the POD of the Navy.
Advanced Airman
training offer greater depth experience in aviation with opportunities to work in selected specialties areas with qualified
active duty petty officers. Cadets will be working in mulitple facets of maintanance that are performed daily at the NAVAIR
Depot.
NAVAIR
Depot Jacksonville is the largest of three modern industrial facilities commissioned by the Navy to perform in-depth overhaul,
repair, and modification of aircraft, engines, and aeronautical components. Such Naval aircrafts are the F-14 Tomcats,
F-18 "Hornet", Lockheed's P3 Orions and S-3 "Vikings" to name a few.
