SUBJ:  BASIC AIRMAN 2005
 
1.  Basic Airman (AN-FL) is just 5 weeks away!  Helicopter Squadron Five (HS-5) the "Nightdippers" and AIMD POWER PLANTS at NAS Jacksonville FL are anxiously awaiting your arrival and have two good weeks planned for your learning fun.
   
2.  Remember to fill out your Air Transportation Agreement and sign and date your RULES & REGULATIONS Sheet.  A parent/guardian must also sign these two papers.  Bring these papers with you or mail them to me SOON.
 
3.  Steel-toed boots are required for all AIRMAN TRAINING.  If you do not have them, bring $75 to purchase them at the local Navy Exchange on base.
 
4.  ALL arrivals should be on Sunday, 10 Jul 2005, no earlier than 1200 and no later than 1600Do not plan to arrive on Saturday, because the Transient Quarters is not expecting us and will not assign us any rooms.  Let me know your arrival and departure times, if you are traveling by air-PLEASE let me know your travel plans ASAP, so Instructor Doug Tillett will be on time for your pick up at the Jacksonville International Airport.
PLEASE NOTE: Inst. Tillett will be at the airport with a sign saying "SEA CADETS."
 
5.  We will begin meeting at the Transient Quarters on Sunday, 10 July at 1300 for Check-inCadets will be berthed two to a room by gender.  Plan your departure on Friday afternoon, 22 July at 18:30 until 2200.
There will not be a formal graduation for parents/guardians to attend.
 
6.  T-Shirts are being ordered for this training.  Let me know your size ASAP! If I dont hear from you, you will be given a size LARGE.
 
7. Uniform of the Day for Check-in on Sunday 10 Jul is Tropical/Jumper Whites.  If you are traveling by air, bus, or train, travel in civilian clothes.  You may travel in uniform if traveling by car.
