Rules and Regulations

Smoking, consumption of alcohol or drug use: Is expressly forbidden
for ALL cadet personnel. Possession of, or use of, any of the above will result
in immediate termination of training and return home at parents’/guardians’ expense. Officers/instructors will not engage in smoking or drinking in the presence of cadets.

Weapons: Do not
bring any knives or other weapons to training. Weapons
brought aboard NAS
Jacksonville will
be confiscated and not returned. Being aboard NAS Jacksonville during training
subjects you to a personal or vehicular search at any time, with or without your permission.
· Inappropriate
Behavior: Any cadet displaying inappropriate behavior aboard any Naval Station, Jacksonville, Mayport or Kings Bay will
be returned home at parents’/guardians’ expense. Inappropriate behavior
is defined as any behavior that in the opinion of the Commanding Officer, Basic Airman Training Contingent, brings disfavor
or maligns the image of the NSCC or any member of the NSCC in the eyes of our hosts.
You may be guests aboard several Naval Stations in and around Jacksonville, and you must conduct
yourselves professionally.

Lacking of Training Motivation: Any lack of training motivation
will result in counseling first and possible return home at parents’/guardians’ expense. Lack of training motivation is defined as failure to participate in training activities
and classes and/or sleeping during training activities and classes.

Personnel Qualifications Standard: You will be issued a PQS
booklet when you arrive for training. You will be required to successfully complete
this book before you receive credit for this training. Failure
to complete the PQS will result in an in-completion and you will not be credited for advancement.

Equal Opportunity, Discrimination and Sexual Harassment: No
preference will be given towards anyone regardless of color, creed, religious preference, gender or race. The command staff and other trainees will treat all cadets equally.
You will be treated equally and with respect and I expect you to treat others the same.

Active Duty Personnel: You will be interacting very closely
with active duty personnel. All active duty personnel, enlisted and officers,
are senior to you. Proper respect will be rendered. Forms of address will be made per regulations (i.e.: LT Smith, Chief Petty Officer Brown, Chief Johnson)
Ensure you are well aware of rank recognition. Interacting with active duty personnel
after training hours is limited to conversation in a public place. No cadet will visit an active duty person’s room or barracks or automobile, and no active duty personnel will
visit a cadet’s room.

Civilian Clothes and Personal Items: If shorts are worn, they
will be of walking length for males and females. The CO has the final word as
to what is, and what is not, appropriate civilian clothing. Females will bring
one-piece bathing suits. Do not
bring “boom” boxes. Not everyone likes
your taste in music.

Enjoy your training and have fun: NSCC
adult escorts will be here to help you succeed and have fun. Their primary duty is to ensure your safety and take care of
any concerns or questions you may have.
