Cadets will work daily at their assigned work stations within AIMD work shops.

Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) main goal is to repair engines, propellers and turbines for the fleet. NAS Jacksonville’s Power Plants Division not only serves this base, but many other bases in the Navy.

For 2 weeks, daily cadet activities include physical training, exercises in the mornings followed by morning chow at the mess hall.

Cadets will report to thier assigned work stations for the day, lunch and  daily aviation classes/lectures either before or after dinner chow.

Once finished, if liberty is earned cadets can have fun swimming at the base pool , bowling, or going to the base gyms.

Some nite activities might include trips into historic downtown Jacksonville, visiting cultural museums and other sites or points of interests.

Our Staff

We have an experienced and dedicated group of Officers and Instructors. Each of them strives to create a supportive and challenging classroom and training atmosphere to encourage cadets to participate and learn about aviation.

Each officer and Instructor have many years of experience within the Naval and Commercial aviation field.  With this kind of experience, cadets are the "real winners" of this type of training.

Interested cadets-I urge you to ask other cadets that have attended our Basic and Advance trainings here at NAS Jax.  Im sure you'll be happy with your decision after you think about it on your return trip back home!!

ITS...AIRMAN ALL THE WAY!! HOOYAH!
